This novel of faith, fantasy, and family, is intended for a slightly older readership than the first, and touches on such difficult topics as pacifism and war, the challenges and joys of being adopted, coming to faith in a secular world, and the communion of saints. A trio of boys leads in the escapades down the valley, while their sisters and girl cousins, and older friend TJ also participate. The events occur two years after those of the first novel, but it is not necessary to have read the first volume in order to enjoy the second.
